The company has been run as a family business since 1892 and has committed itself to people and the environment to use all resources sparingly.

In 2013 we made a commitment to the Swiss Energy Agency to reduce our energy requirements by 56,000 kWh/year within 10 years. We already have this goal in 2020  achieved. But that's not the end of it! We are constantly working to further reduce our ecological footprint. We continue to invest in our own solar and hydroelectric power plants, in the use of waste heat from our production facilities and in the thermal insulation of our buildings.

We also take a close look when it comes to our waste. We try to keep these as small as possible. For many fiber waste from the spinning mill, we have partners in Europe who process these products further. Old machine oils, lamps, electronic scrap and packaging materials are returned to the raw material cycle by working together with regional recycling companies.
